Praying with Scriptures Ephesians 6:12-18 Armor of God

Lord, please help me to understand and act on this.    When I have troubles, I should not try to fix it myself.  For they do not come from what I can see or feel here in this world.  Help me to understand spiritual warfare we are all facing.

Make me stronger and spiritually prepared for any adversary that arises.  May I see what my weak points are so I can work on them to strengthen those areas.  Thank you for these verses that explain how to do this.

Help me to follow you and stay on your path of righteousness and trustworthiness.  May I not speak untruths or even exaggerations.  I will follow your wonderful commandments to the best of my ability, and I admit that’s hard.   But with your gentle guidance I can do anything.

May I not be complacent about your gospel.  But make me bold.   Lord give me that desire to step out and not be afraid.   Make me ready!  When you say “Go”, I will have already prepared for that and I will go.  Keep my ears open for your directions.

I do believe I have faith.  But if I really had to face the enemy, would my faith be strong enough?  Faith strengthens the closer we get to you, Lord.  May I get even closer to you so my faith be strong enough to fight any battle.

Keep your word in my heart, Lord.  For it is the ultimate weapon against evil.  May I study it and memorize verses.  Even Jesus used scriptures when he was tempted by the enemy.

Praying is how we get in your beautiful presence.   It’s hard to pray all the time, but that is what we need to do.   Revive my soul that I may always long to tell you everything.  Don’t let me get complacent about praying.  May it never be like a chore.  But a continual and desirable honor.

I will keep my eyes and ears open for you.  With determination, I will wear the armor of God.  Ready to face and endure whatever you have for me.

It is an honor to pray in that beautiful name of Jesus.  Amen.
