Morning Prayers – My Enemies
Good morning Lord. Thank you for this day. This morning, I pray for my enemies.
Help Me Forgive & Show Grace:
I’m starting this day right and asking you to please help me to see those people that are against me as you see them. For I know you love everyone. Give me peace in my heart when I’m around them and help me to show them grace. Show me how to love them.
I’m tired of feeling this resentment towards them. Lead me on a path of full forgiveness. Release me from this bitterness. I know if I don’t forgive others, then you won’t forgive me. And that frightens me so. Please Lord, break down these walls.
Matthew 5:38-40 (Jesus said) “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for an eye, and tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.”
Matthew 6:14-15 (Jesus said) “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
Bless Them:
I pray that you bless those that mistreat me. Bring them peace and joy. Help them to love everything about their lives. Send your beautiful Holy Spirit to them. And may they feel comfort like never before.
Heal Them:
Heal them in every way that they need healing. Body, mind, and soul. Keep temptations that cause pain and misery away from them. Release them from any strongholds that bind them. Bless them abundantly.
Matthew 5:43-44 (Jesus said) “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Luke 6:27-29 (Jesus said) “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”
Please encourage my heart all day. And walk along this path with me. I’m so thankful for your support.
I pray this in that wonderful name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
