jenaministries’ God Spoke to People in Dreams
God did indeed speak to people in dreams. The bible talks about that several times. Here are just a few examples.
God Spoke to Prophets in Dreams and Visions:
He spoke to prophets in dreams and visions (Scriptures 1. Prophets – Numbers 12:5-8).
God Spoke to King Solomon in Two Dreams:
King Solomon was spoken to by God in two dreams (Scriptures 2. King Solomon). Once to ask Solomon what he wanted and God granted it and more. The second time was to warn Solomon not to serve other gods.
God Told Joseph to Go to Egypt in a Dream:
Another example is God spoke to Joseph (Jesus’ Earth Father) in a dream telling him to take the baby Jesus and Mary and flee to Egypt (Scriptures 3. Joseph (Jesus’ Earth father) – The Escape to Egypt). King Herod was going to kill all baby boys there in Bethlehem, Judea.
Daniel Interpreted King’s Dreams:
King Nebuchadnezzar had dreams from God that troubled him (Scriptures 4. Daniel Interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream). Only Daniel was able to interpret the dreams. Because of his interpretations, the king placed Daniel in a high position and made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon, and placed him in charge of all its wise men.
Abraham and Abimelek:
When Abraham and his wife, Sarah, went to Gerar, Abraham said Sarah was his sister. Then Abimelek, king of Gerar, sent for Sarah and took her. But God spoke to King Abinmelek in a dream and told him Sarah was married (Scriptures 5. Abraham and Abimelek).
Joseph Interpreted Pharoah’s Dreams:
When Joseph was sold to slavery in Egypt by his brothers, the Pharoah had two dreams (Scriptures 6. Pharaoh’s Dreams). Joseph was able to interpret those dreams and warn the Pharoah of an upcoming famine. The Pharoah was able to prepare and be ready for the famine. He also put Joseph in a high position.
Conclusion – God Spoke to People in Dreams:
God knows most of the time we are unable to hear him. So, he sometimes speaks to us in dreams. When he teaches us something in a dream, it can be profound and change our lives. He still speaks to us in dreams today.
If you have a dream that makes sense and felt real (scenery, people, subject matters did not change), and you can remember every word spoken, every emotion felt, and every detail; don’t just disregard it. Ask God if that dream was him speaking? See what happens. If it was God speaking, you will get a confirmation of some kind. And it may just change your life and/or your way of thinking.
