If you know Jesus, you know this is true. It is better to spend one day in his presence than a thousand days outside of it. Even if you’re only a doorkeeper or have a lower rank purpose. It is so much better being in presence of God.

As you memorize this verse, think of the times you felt the Lord with you. And how nothing else can give you peace like that. Recite this verse when you feel temptation to step out of God’s will.

Start by reading the verse out loud. Think about how it relates to your life. Try to fully understand it’s meaning. Pray about the meaning of this verse.

Repeat the verse over again as many times as needed to be able to memorize it. Some people memorize better if they write it down. Use whatever method works for you.

Keep going back to this verse periodically to refresh your memory.
