Jesus taught us how to pray. First we recognize God as God and Lord of our life. Then we ask for his will to be done in our life. We can then go to our list of requests. Let Jesus help you to forgive others and to be strong when facing temptations.
When we memorize this verse, we are reminded how Jesus taught us to pray. Sometimes when we don’t know what to pray about, it’s nice to just recite this verse to God. Then others things will come to mind. So really try to memorize it.
Start by reading the verses out loud. Think about how each verse relates to your life. Try to fully understand each verse’s meaning. Pray about them.
Repeat the verses over again as many times as needed to be able to memorize them. Some people memorize better if they write it down. Use whatever method works for you.
Keep going back to the verses periodically to refresh your memory.
