Weekly Challenge – Give Your Testimony

The challenge for this week is “Give Your Testimony”.

This is part of a yearly series “Weekly Challenges to Get Closer to God”.  There are 26 challenges for 1 year. You prayerfully concentrate on 1 task for 1 week (every other week) and see what happens.

Giving your testimony could be the difference of someone’s salvation or eternal damnation.  There is power in your testimony.

God can work out situations and timing to get you to the right person at the right time.  Whenever the opportunity arrives, you should tell people how the Lord has touched you and changed you.  And explain how good he has been to you.

People need to hear it.  Your personal testimony is unique and is exactly what someone needs to hear.

No matter what situation you find yourself in, pray that God leads you to someone who needs to hear your special unique story.  God is really good at working things out so you can have that opportunity of making a difference in someone’s life.

So for one week, pray for opportunities and give your personal testimony to as many people as you can and see what happens.  See how it brings you closer to God.

Here are some Bible verses to motivate you.

2 Timothy 1:8  So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.

1 Peter 3:15-16   But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Psalms 66:16   Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.

Acts 1:8   But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 4:33   With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.
