Weekly Challenge – Pray for Wisdom of Your Purpose
The challenge for this week is “Pray for Wisdom of Your Purpose”.
Yearly Series:
This is part of a yearly series “Weekly Challenges to Get Closer to God”. There are 26 challenges for 1 year. You prayerfully concentrate on 1 task for 1 week (every other week) and see what happens.
Pray for Your Purpose:
Do you know what your purpose in life is? If we ask God for wisdom, he will always give it to us. Not fleshly wisdom, but Godly wisdom. The Holy Spirit will always let you know if you are living out your purpose for the kingdom of God. He will also let you know if you made a bad decision and if you’re going the wrong way. God will lead you to his will if you let him.
The Lord has a special purpose for you. You just need to always follow Jesus and pray. Your purpose will be revealed to you. It may take a little time. Sometimes we need to experience things and learn something first. But if you’ve been serving the Lord for a while, you should know what your purpose is.
Challenge:
Even if you think you know your purpose, spend this week praying for wisdom of what your purpose is for the kingdom of God. Pray as many times as you can this week and see what happens. See how you get closer to God.
Bible Verses:
Here are some Bible verses to motivate you.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
Phil 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Psalms 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalms 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
